Manoa Valley Church's After School Care Program originated in the Fall of 1975 in response to a need in the community.

As God seeks to provide for our needs, so we seek to do the same for each child who comes to us. We provide a loving environment where a child's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs can be met. We believe that a child's early years are crucial to his/her development and endeavor to help each child develop a positive self-image.

The program provides care for children from kindergarten through sixth grade. Children have ample opportunities to be themselves in their relationships with other children. They are free to select from activities according to their interests. Activities include:

Homework area	Block play
Weekly chapel	Craft activities

CALENDAR: We follow the Hawaii Public Schools holidays. All holidays and vacations observed by the public schools will likewise be observed. We provide for early pick up on those days that school is let out early (parent-teacher conference days, half-days before Christmas break and end of school). We also provide care (at a separate charge) on school waiver days and Teacher Institute Day. Christmas and Spring Break programs are also offered at a separate charge.

PICK UP: We provide pick up at Manoa and Noelani Elementary Schools. Our pick up site at Manoa School is in front of the Manoa Gym; at Noelani it is on the front right side of their cafeteria. Two leaders sign in the Manoa students; one leader signs in the Noelani students.

HOURS: 2:15-5:30 p.m. (from 1:30 on Wednesdays)

SNACKS: A snack is provided every afternoon at 3:10-3:30 p.m. A menu is posted in the classroom for your information.

STAFF TO STUDENT RATIO: Approximately 1 leader for every 15 students.

FEES: A non-refundable $15 registration fee per child.

Tuition: August tuition depends on the date that school begins.Thereafter it is $990 for September-May or payable in monthly installments of $110 per installment.

ESCORT SERVICE TO JAPANESE SCHOOL OR KUMON: We provide a walk over/pick up service at no additional charge for the 1st and 2nd bell Japanese School students, and for those who attend the Kumon Math Center on Mondays and Wednesdays.
