No registration necessary. Free parking in the lot along Punahou Street. Pastor Anne says these are wonderful mornings that she enjoys!

Church Leaders' Event 2012 sponsored by the Hawaii Conference United Church of Christ, on Saturday February 25 from 9 - 4 at Nu'uanu Congregational Church. Theme will be Preparing for Disaster. Pastor Anne has registration forms, and you can also register on-line at www.hcucc.org. Cost $25.

2-Day Centering Prayer Commuter Retreat, sponsored by Contemplative Outreach of Hawaii. This retreat is happening at Central Union Church, Friday February 24 (5 - 9 pm) and Saturday February 25 (8:30 - 4). Cost is $65 and includes dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday. This is your opportunity to go on retreat, learn about and practice centering prayer, journaling, and the human condition, and you get to sleep in your own bed, not at some retreat center! Scholarships are available, contact Carol at cohi@lava.net or 536-6090.

"Snacks Forever" Reminders: Thank you to all who have volunteered to prepare snacks and drinks for our fellowship time after church service. We appreciate your participating is this important part of our church ministry. This year we are making changes to the program. We ask those who prepare snacks to keep it simple by preparing only "finger foods" (e.g., cookies, pastries, and fruits) so that we can eliminate the need for paper plates and plastic forks and thus reduce the amount of waste we produce. With today's emphasis on ecology and preserving the environment, we believe this is that way to go. If you have any questions, please contact Shirley Murakami at 488-0634.

Mahalo MVC for supporting the mission of Honolulu Habitat for Humanity! The Certificate of Appreciation is posted on the bulletin board.
